If you have ever been to the public library, you may have noticed that the picture books have been categorized (or genrefied, if you want to use a fancy library term). This means that if a student wants a picture book about animals, the student just has to wander over to the section labeled "Animals," and they will be able to find one! This is much more accessible than having all 2,230 picture books only organized by the author's last name, for it will take a student more than the allotted browsing time to find a book on a topic they want!
So, library volunteers and staff have been working rigorously at the beginning of the year to make the switch! We now have all the picture books organized into 13 categories with corresponding color-coded spine labels! Yay for students finding books of interest all on their own!

Si alguna vez ha estado en la biblioteca pública, es posible que haya notado que los libros ilustrados han sido categorizados.
